Mulholland Ridge Open Space Preserve

Hike This Beautiful Ridge With Your Dog Off-Leash

Looking towards Mt. Diablo and Las Trampas from top of Donald Drive. Click here for large Panorama

The ridge at the top of Mulholland Open Space is one of the hidden natural gems in Moraga. This is a great place to get beautiful views of the east bay with very little effort. It is also a great place to hike after it rains because running the length of the ridge is a paved section that is an extension of Donald Drive. Dogs are allowed off-leash during daylight hours as long as one hikes along the paved section. It connects to Orinda Oaks Open Space Preserve at the top by the water towers where both you and your dog can get a drink. On Orinda's side there are also stations with mutt mitts but none on the Moraga side except for one voluntary supply pole of plastic bags at the preserve's entrance on Donald Drive in Moraga Here is Google's satellite view of the ridge.
