Parks and Dogs in Lamorinda

One of the goals for Lamorinda Dogs, Inc. is to work within the Lamorinda community to ensure that there are off-leash and on-leash experiences available that will be beneficial for the entire community.

For all dogs and their owners living in our Lamorinda community, only one public park, Rancho Laguna in Moraga, is available on a limited basis for off-leash activities. Rancho Laguna is also accessible to those who are disabled but still like to provide their dogs some off-leash exercise, and off leash training.

Lafayette, according to its city website has a 68 acre Community Park as well as two smaller neighborhood parks. Lafayette, however, does not allow any off-leash dog activity at any of its parks, including the 68 acre Community Park. Lafayette recently removed the only dog drinking fountain that was in the Community Park.
